Well, it's day 6 of my year of thinking positively!
The gastric flu left the other day, leaving an old friend - the snotty headcold - in it's place. So looking forward to returning to work on Monday (yes I'm that spoiled) with an out of season, Rudolph-red Nose and what threatens to be the spot from hell in the centre of my forehead.
(It's either that or my Third Eye of Spiritual Wisdom is finally manifesting itself.)
I'm going to try eating goose for the first time today. And we've mashed up our heritage purple potatoes and added cream and now they've gone a purply-grey. Culinary adventurousness, here we come.
I'm wittering on because I have finally admitted to myself that I enjoy the self-absorbed aspect of blogging. And we're all interesting, right? If not, this blogging thing would never have caught on (despite the vicious cartoons in Private Eye).
The laptop is sitting behind and to my right as I type, sending out waves of loneliness, trying to seduce me with the promise that, if I just lay down the next couple of plot-lines in this chapter, I shall feel a lot happier.
Bring on the goose, is what I say in response! Let's celebrate the official end of the festive season. Work can wait for another day.
